Consulting in Data, Digital & AI
I provide a structured, regulation‑aligned path from readiness through strategy and governance to qualification, validation, and quality system integration. I focus on stakeholder alignment, clear roles and responsibilities, risk‑based life‑cycle practices, and documentation that meets regulatory and quality expectations. I deliver engagements and contribute to projects independently or in collaboration with trusted partners.
Typical work includes
- AI Readiness Assessment: 360° view of success factors, GxP awareness, stakeholder alignment and priorities, and the intersection of foundation‑building with implementation roadmaps
- Strategy & Governance: business objectives as the anchor for value; operating models, organisational structures, decision pathways, and oversight and feedback mechanisms
- Qualification & Validation: state‑of‑the‑art qualification and validation frameworks featuring critical thinking, risk‑based decisions, and modern digital validation approaches
- Quality System Transformation: streamlining, modernising, and extending the existing QMS—integrating new methods to enable technology advancements and unlock efficiency, rather than creating silos in quality
Training, Upskilling & AI Literacy
I deliver flexible, modular training spanning practitioner to executive level, addressing Leadership, Quality Assurance, Business, IT, Data Science, and cross‑functional teams. Formats range from 90‑minute briefings to multi‑day programmes, delivered onsite or remote. Content is rooted in practical experience and includes interactive elements such as case studies and moderated use‑case exploration.
Representative modules (selection)
- AI Fundamentals: foundational AI literacy; terminology, use cases; trustworthy AI & ethics; common challenges of life science companies
- Strategy & Governance : leading AI in Life Sciences, impact of AI on CSV, roles & responsibilities and knowledge management; supplier management
- Life Cycles & Quality: development approach and system life cycle; quality management; quality risk management; specification, verification & documentation
- Technology & Operations: infrastructure & cloud services; AI cybersecurity; Generative & Agentic AI incl. supporting‑data architectures (e.g., RAG); data for AI in life sciences
- Regulation Deep Dives: e.g., European AI Act and its implications for life sciences; cross‑view on publications from agencies (US FDA, EMA, MHRA, etc.)
- Interactive Specials: moderated use case ideation session
A current module plan can be provided upon request. Please also reach out in case you are interested in custom training.
Technology & Solution Partnerships
I support clients in identifying and collaborating with technology and software providers. I help define requirements, ensure fit with the QMS and risk posture, and establish proportionate supplier oversight for successful implementation and sustained value.
Focus areas include
- Data management
- Data integration and data integrity
- Gen‑AI‑supported qualification & validation
- EU AI Act compliance

Approach to Data, Digital and AI in regulated Areas

01
Business‑driven selection of data, digital & AI initiatives
Data, digital and AI approaches should not be implemented for their own sake. It is crucial to consider business impact, process understanding, and organisational maturity to enable organisations shaping their path in data, digital, and AI with confidence.
02
Full perspective from strategy to operational reality
Strategy, Governance, and Quality Management need to work in tandem to allow operational teams to work effectively and unlock scalable, risk-based approaches - while planning of effective feedback loops are critical for sustainable success.
03
GxP thinking from the start - as enabler, not impediment
Following Quality by Design thinking integrates quality in initial stages to strengthen defensibility and avoid rework later, in line with GxP regulation and leading industry guidance - while seeking an edge in efficient quality and compliance operations through innovative technology.
04
Stakeholder alignment and cross‑functional clarity
Speaking the various languages of Business, Quality, IT, and Data Science, I help facilitating a shared vision and understanding, reducing friction and accelerating sound, joint decisions.
